How to attach it
Attach the pattern to the verb stem, which is the dictionary form without 다. Compare how each verb below changes depending on its last sound.

What changes
- After a stem ending in a vowel, ㄹ is added to the last syllable (보 → 볼). After a stem ending in a consonant, 을 is added (읽 → 읽을). A stem ending in ㄹ keeps it (살 → 살), and 하 becomes 할.
Explanation
이 가게는 커피가 맛있을 뿐만 아니라 케이크도 아주 맛있어요.
“-(으)ㄹ 뿐만 아니라” means “not only ~ but also…” and adds a second fact to the first. The sentence means “Not only is the coffee at this shop delicious, but the cake is also very good.” Use “-(으)ㄹ 뿐만 아니라” with verbs and adjectives, and “뿐만 아니라” directly after a noun. The particle 도 often appears in the second clause.
이 식당은 음식이 맛있을 뿐만 아니라 가격도 저렴해요.
“-(으)ㄹ 뿐만 아니라” means “not only ~ but also ~” and adds a second point to the first. Attach “-(으)ㄹ” to a verb or adjective stem; after a noun, use “뿐만 아니라” alone. The sentence means “This restaurant not only serves delicious food but is also reasonably priced.”

A ㅇ at the start of a syllable is silent; at the end of a syllable it sounds like “ng”.
